What's inside the Donguibogam Village in Sancheong

Nature+Healing in one! Donguibogam Village is a Korean medicine themed resort located in Wansan mountain, 480m above sea level, which makes this spot a cozy place surrounded by mountains. This spot is also situated in between three energy-filled huge stones so many visitors come here for health, luck and postive energy.

There are a lot of things going here where a day is not enough to explore the whole area that is why they also offer accomodation facilities. You can wear traditional physician attire while touring around. 

The village is rich in both traditional and modern style facilities. Most notable spots are the temples in the Qi experience center, the outdoor herbal theme park, the greenhouse medicinal herb hall and the Heojungil walking trail.


You can try all sorts of experience programs such as Gongjindan making, medicinal fragrance pouch making, oriental medicine heat therapy experience and many more. 

There are also restaurants inside the village such as the one we ate at which served shabu-shabu using medicinal herbs and mushrooms. 
Donguibogam Village is a Korean Medicine Theme Park. One of the things you can do here is the chance to wear the royal physician's uniform! The best part is it's just 3000 won!  


This is a great opportunity because this kind of attire is not commonly available in your usual tourist area rental shops.
If you've always been fascinated by this attire as it has been depicted in a lot of Joseon-era Korean shows then this village in Sancheong will gladly give you that opportunity. You can wear this attire as you tour around the park. It has a lot of amazing temples which can serve as background and give you that epic shot you've always wanted. You can also do other Korean medicine-related activities while wearing the attire making the experience more authentic.

Suncheon Bay Wetlands, serenity at it's finest

This is my favorite place in South Korea. The whole place is just stunning! During fall and winter season, the reeds also become golden brown which transforms the place. This time we went  during summer so everything was green! The Suncheonman Wetlands is a well-preserved natural coastline rich in biodiversity and acts as a sanctuary for animals especially migratory birds. The entrance facility looks really modern and at the same time, eco-friendly. Iksan Trip Part 2: Apple Vinegar Making Experience at Kosrak (고스락), the 4000-Jar Garden [The King Eternal Monarch Filming Location]

Kosrak (고스락) Kosrak Garden is one of the filming locations of the recent show "The King Eternal Monarch"!  It is a unique garden filled with as many as 4000 Hangari 항아리 (Jars) which are also used for fermentation.
