Suncheon Bay Wetlands, serenity at it's finest

This is my favorite place in South Korea. The whole place is just stunning! During fall and winter season, the reeds also become golden brown which transforms the place. This time we went  during summer so everything was green!

The Suncheonman Wetlands is a well-preserved natural coastline rich in biodiversity and acts as a sanctuary for animals especially migratory birds.

The entrance facility looks really modern and at the same time, eco-friendly.

You will pass along this beautiful tunnel. 

The backdrop of the surrounding mountains and the clear skies completes the whole natural landscape.

Because of its remarkable beauty, this place has been designated as one of the Recommended Wellness Spots in South Korea.

Take a healing trip!

There's this therapeutic effect behind the simple act of walking along the wooden path surrounded with reed fields.

When the wind blows, the sound of the rustling leaves and the sight of them swaying in synchronous motion would surely relieve your stress away.

After visiting the area, you'll definitely leave feeling wonderful and refreshed.

From the Suncheon Bay Wetlands, you can go to the Suncheon Bay National Garden by riding the skycube.

Two of the most famous destinations in Suncheon are the Suncheon Bay National Garden and the Suncheon Bay Wetlands. People would always visit these two places that's why they even made it so you can go to both using the same ticket. But the problem is these two areas are far apart. To solve this, they constructed the Skycube!

It is one of the handful personal rapid transit (PRT) systems in the world and the only PRT in Asia!

It makes travelling between two areas more accessible,  more convenient and more enjoyable as you get to see Suncheon area from high up!

You'll also pass along this beautiful church. 

The inside is spacious and comfortable. There is air conditioning and all sides are covered with glass so you can really sea the surrounding clearly

Shooting location of the recent Korean hit " The King, Eternal Monarch"! If you've enjoyed this show  then you know that this area has been depicted a lot of times, especially the huge rock monoliths which served as a portal between the two worlds!  Guess what, it's still there!  If you have been wondering where it was taken, read a long and find out how to go there.
